Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience designing and scaling APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience with MySQL and relational databases.
• Proficient with Git and modern CI/CD practices.
• Strong English communication; ability to Russian/Ukrainian.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of Rails apps.
• Plan and oversee large cross-team projects.
• Coordinate tasks in complex cross-team projects.
• Drive technical direction, coding standards, and best practices.
• Mentor junior to senior engineers.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Identify technical risks and drive resolutions.
• Identify team-specific technical issues and propose or implement solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies and align with business goals.
• Lead prototyping and research initiatives for future platform improvements.
