Job summary

SimplePractice is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer II with deep Ruby on Rails expertise to help roll out a broad range of features for our practice management platform.

You will work across frontend and backend, shaping architecture, coding, and testing, while delivering elegant user experiences for thousands of clinicians. Collaboration with Product and remote teams is essential, and experience with LLMs/AI tools is a bonus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Ruby on Rails experience.
• Experience with Ember.js or React.js.
• Experience in reporting and analytics.
• Designed and implemented large, scalable web applications and have an appreciation for clean, elegant and simple code.
• Track record mentoring other engineers.
• Experience taking Rails apps from idea to production.
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with remote teams using GitHub/Slack/Linear.
• Experience with LLMs and AI coding assistants.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, well-tested code that improves the codebase.
• Diagnose problems and architect scalable solutions.
