Job summary

Workato is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our growing team. You will build API interfaces and backend infrastructure, collaborating with UI, connectivity and DevOps to craft elegant solutions to complex problems.

You will be responsible for building Rails applications, server-side infrastructure for the UI, and contributing across the development lifecycle while writing clean, tested code and evaluating system improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience developing, shipping and maintaining Rails applications.
• Strong knowledge of Ruby.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills.
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and design.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis-based caching.

Responsibilities

• Build complex Ruby on Rails applications.
• Build server-side infrastructure for the Workato user interface.
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• Evaluate and propose improvements to the existing system.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies for architectural reviews.
