Job summary

Qualifications

• Assc. degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent.
• Intermediate Critical Care training as defined by Orlando Health.
• Basic computer/mechanical training.
• Maintains RRT license with FL DOH.
• NBRC RRT credential and renewal requirements.
• Maintains BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• Advanced Life Support as appropriate for unit/site.
• Preferred: active memberships in AARC/FSRC.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in respiratory therapeutics and non-invasive ventilators.
• Maintains accurate documentation.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team.
• Performs quality control and maintenance of ABG analyzers.
• Provides care from non-critical to intensive care units.
• Contributes to RRT Clinical Ladder activities (preceptor, mentor, educator, clinical specialist).
• Instructs clinical practicum students.
• Provides age-appropriate care and growth/development assessment.
