Shell seeks an Inspector for rotating equipment in Deer Park, TX to provide experienced-based technical support for site assets. Responsibilities include reviewing notifications, inspecting equipment during maintenance, and drafting repair scopes for 3rd party contractors.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in refinery/petrochemical environments, with strong analytical and MOC knowledge. On-site work with comprehensive health, pension, and 401(k) benefits offered.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years hands-on experience in refinery/petrochemical/mechanical equipment.
• 2 years' experience performing machinery inspections in a petrochemical plant.
• Knowledge of API, ASME, NDT, ANSI codes in relation to machinery inspection and repair.
• Understanding of Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Review GSAP notifications for rotating equipment and respond to surveillance round exceptions.
• Inspect equipment during maintenance and ensure QC/QA procedures.
• Develop work scopes for 3rd party and specialty contractors (on-site).
• Assist Maintenance Planner in specifying spare parts and quotes.
• Perform equipment start-up observation and health assessments.
• Provide guidance on discovery work to Maintenance team.
• Communicate work schedules for offsite repairs.
• Document inspection procedures and best practices.
