Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III to service rotary-wing platforms supporting Special Operations Forces. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on H-6, H-60, and H-47 aircraft, including landing gear, flight controls, and aircraft systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years aviation experience.
• Advanced knowledge of aviation mechanical systems.
• Advanced knowledge of repair procedures and replacement of components.
• Ability to oversee advanced mechanical maintenance and provide guidance.
• Ability to mentor junior technicians to ensure compliance with airworthiness standards.
• Thorough understanding of technical publication and maintaining documentation.
• Ability to read blueprints, orders, and service bulletins.
• Experience working in a fast-paced team environment and travel readiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on H-6, H-60 and H-47 aircraft.
• Repair/replace drive systems, engines, and components to maintain aircraft integrity.
• Interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and drawings to guide activities.
• Conduct preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight inspections to ensure readiness.
