Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Lexington, KY is seeking an Aircraft Structural Mechanic II to provide advanced maintenance and repair for H-6, H-60, and H-47 rotary-wing fleets. You will lead repairs, inspections, and manage junior mechanics while ensuring compliance with airworthiness standards.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with helicopter structures, is adaptable to varying shift schedules, and must be a U.S. citizen due to government contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Proficient in safe jacking, towing, and positioning of helicopters for structural work.
• Ability to independently navigate, record, and validate structural repairs and inspections.
• Experience verifying completed work against airworthiness and safety standards.
• Competent performing structural repairs in both flight-line and depot-level settings.
• Effective in team and independent environments; adaptable to shift changes.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced structural maintenance, modification, and repair for rotary-wing fleets.
• Execute complex unscheduled repairs and lead Level I mechanics.
• Lead inspections for structural damage and provide technical guidance.
• Conduct and certify phase, isochronal, and periodic inspections.
• Train, mentor, and supervise Level I Aircraft Structural Mechanics.
