Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, IL is seeking an engineer to design, analyze, and test components for operator stations and cabs, focusing on steel fabrications, ROPS and cabin non-metallics.

You will communicate with design teams, customers, suppliers, and manufacturers across global locations. Responsibilities include creating prints for NPI, supporting quality initiatives, conducting FEA, and collaborating in CPPD processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited curriculum.
• CREO or other parametric modeling software experience.
• Familiarity with fabrications and/or non-metallics manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and test components and systems for operator stations and cabs.
• Design ROPS systems and cab non-metallic components.
• Perform FEA for ROPS and other components.
• Support NPI programs with design prints and releases.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners and suppliers in a CPPD environment.
