Job summary

CanTex Roofing & Construction is seeking a Lead Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems. You will lead small crews on service calls, manage job execution from start to finish, and be the primary on-site contact for owners and facility managers.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on roofing, with 2+ years in service/repair, proficiency in at least two roof systems, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on commercial roofing experience, with at least 2 years in a service/repair role.
• Proficiency with at least two commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, metal).
• Ability to read and interpret building drawings, roof plans, and work orders.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a company vehicle.
• OSHA 10 certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Comfort working at heights, on ladders, and in all weather conditions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose roof leaks and deficiencies across multiple roofing systems.
• Perform high-quality repairs including seam repairs, flashing replacement, and membrane patching.
• Lead 2–3 person service crews; delegate tasks and ensure quality.
• Complete work orders with photos, materials used, and follow-up recommendations.
• Communicate findings and completed work to customers on-site; explain conditions clearly.
• Identify additional deficiencies observed during service visits and provide information to the service manager for quoting.
