Job summary

SimoTech in the United States seeks a senior Technical Project Manager to lead automation and control systems for a new biopharmaceutical waste treatment facility in North Carolina.

You will shape the design, establish technical requirements, and coordinate with system integrators, ensuring effective communication across engineering, operations, and project leadership. This role requires hands-on leadership, Rockwell Automation expertise, and the ability to deliver on schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8+ years experience in technical project management.
• Strong Rockwell Automation expertise and PLC/control architecture.
• Experience coordinating system integrators and contractors.
• Experience in biotech manufacturing preferred.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical lead and project representative for the facility's automation and control systems.
• Review existing design documentation and influence the automation strategy and architecture.
• Define Rockwell-based control system requirements, including PLC architecture and integration.
• Coordinate the integration requirements for multiple packaged equipment systems.
• Monitor progress against deliverables, milestones and technical requirements.
• Provide continuity from design through testing, commissioning and startup.
• Serve as the main point of contact for automation-related decisions.
