Job summary

EVONA seeks a Senior Components Engineer in Seattle to own and mature valve and actuator hardware for rocket fluid systems. You’ll lead the hardware lifecycle from concept through qualification, working hands-on with manufacturing and test teams.

You’ll leverage experience in high-pressure Cryogenic/propellant systems, FEA/CFD analyses, and detailed CAD in Siemens NX to deliver reliable, producible components for high-rate production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing valves, actuators or related fluid-control hardware.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, structures and controls.
• Experience designing, assembling and testing hardware.
• Familiar with high-pressure or cryogenic fluid systems and precision components.
• Strong CAD skills, Siemens NX, with experience in FEA or fluid analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop valves and actuators for rocket engines and fluid systems.
• Own components from requirements through manufacturing, testing and qualification.
• Perform structural and fluid analysis using hand calculations, FEA and CFD.
• Work with manufacturing teams, building hardware, troubleshooting and improving designs.
• Develop and execute component test plans for development, acceptance and qualification testing.
• Collaborate with propulsion, fluids and controls engineers to solve system challenges.
• Help develop reliable components for high-rate production.
