Job summary

Stoke Space is hiring a Sr. Valves and Actuators Engineer to define, design, manufacture, test and qualify valve designs for stages and engines. You will own the entire design process and work with a small, capable team to accelerate development and iteration.

You will model components in Siemens NX, perform structural and fluids analyses, and coordinate with suppliers to procure parts while advancing manufacturing for high-rate production on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or similar.
• 5+ years designing, building and testing valves for aerospace or industrial use.
• Hands-on fabrication and assembly of components.
• Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, structures, cryogenics, instrumentation.
• Familiarity with revision-controlled P&ID’s and aerospace fasteners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, manufacture, test and qualify valve designs for stages and engines.
• Own the full design process and coordinate with suppliers for parts.
• Create manufacturing plans for high-rate production on the floor.
• Perform CAD modeling in Siemens NX and conduct FEA/fluids analyses.
• Develop CONOPs with vehicle fluids, engines and GNC teams.
