Job summary

3-Rivers Drilling & Blasting seeks a Senior Drill Operator to run cabbed rock drills and mine-style production equipment, safely meeting production goals in challenging ground. This role supports mining and drilling operations across Utah and Nevada, with potential day or night shifts and extended schedules depending on project needs.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of drilling experience, experience with Sandvik Di650 Leopard DTH rigs and DP1500i Top Hammer rigs, and a strong safety record.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional drilling experience required (senior-level experience preferred).
• Experience operating Sandvik Di650 Leopard DTH rigs or similar equipment.
• Experience operating Sandvik DP1500i Top Hammer rigs or similar equipment preferred.
• Ability to meet production goals, including footage-per-hour expectations.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• MSHA 5000-23 Experienced Miner certification preferred/current.
• Strong commitment to safety and following established procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in remote and changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate production rock drills while maintaining efficiency and consistent output.
• Monitor ground conditions and adjust drilling techniques to improve performance and minimize equipment wear.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance and operational upkeep.
• Follow MSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and job-site policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and production records as required.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and project teams regarding equipment performance and job conditions.
