Job summary

3-Rivers Drilling & Blasting is seeking a Senior Drill Operator to operate cabbed rock drills and mine-style production equipment, ensuring safety and meeting production goals across Utah and Nevada. The role may involve day or night shifts, overtime, and extended schedules based on project needs.

The candidate should have 3+ years of drilling experience, proficiency with Sandvik Di650 Leopard DTH and DP1500i top-hammer rigs, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional drilling experience required (senior-level experience preferred).
• Experience operating Sandvik Di650 Leopard DTH rigs or similar equipment.
• Experience operating Sandvik DP1500i Top Hammer rigs or similar equipment preferred.
• Ability to consistently meet production goals, including footage-per-hour expectations.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• MSHA 5000-23 Experienced Miner certification preferred/current.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate production rock drills while maintaining efficiency and consistent output.
• Monitor ground conditions and adjust drilling techniques to improve performance and minimize equipment wear.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance and operational upkeep.
• Follow MSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and job-site policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and production records as required.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and project teams regarding equipment performance and job conditions.

Location: Based in Central Utah (Delta area, Saratoga Springs) or Southern Nevada/Southern Utah. Travel to project sites throughout Utah and Nevada is required.

3-Rivers Drilling & Blasting has more than 65 years of combined drilling and blasting experience and has proudly served the Western U.S. since 1997. We are recognized for safe, accurate, and professional drilling and blasting operations and are fully licensed, insured, and bonded for every project we complete.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Drill Operator to operate cabbed rock drills, including mine-style production drilling equipment, while safely meeting production goals in challenging ground conditions. This role supports mining and drilling operations throughout Utah and Nevada and may require day or night shifts, overtime, and extended schedules depending on project needs.

Pay & Benefits

• Full-time W-2 employment
• Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
• Health insurance available with employee participation
• Paid time off available after 1 year of employment (40 hours)
• Overtime paid according to state and federal law
• Typical schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 to 12 hour shifts
• Night shifts, weekend work, and overtime may be required depending on project schedules

Work Environment

• Job site-based position with regular travel requirements
• Projects located throughout Utah and Nevada
• Outdoor work environment involving mining, drilling, and rugged terrain conditions
