Job summary

Scale's Robotics lab in San Francisco is looking for a hands-on operations contributor to support data collection and prototyping. You will bring up robots, manage hardware and logistics, and partner across teams to productionize maintenance and improve uptime.

The role emphasizes technical ownership in imaging, sensor fusion, CV concepts, and safe robotics operation, with strong ownership and communication required. Onsite in San Francisco with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/CS or related field
• 5+ years of hardware lab experience or equivalent
• Hands-on experience in Robotics, AI, and/or Computer Vision
• Experience managing risk and operating robots safely
• Strong project management, ownership and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of the Lab by bringing up and maintaining robots and collection hardware.
• Manage physical inventory, maintain equipment, and coordinate logistics.
• Provide technical support for data collection operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring up new robots and productionize maintenance.
• Develop uptime, utilization, and failure tracking systems for leadership visibility.
• Communicate lab priorities and roadmaps across internal and external partners.
