Job summary

Mind Robotics is building physical AI for real-world industrial deployment. This role leads the supplier industrialization function from ground up, owning PCBA, electronics, and tactile sensing readiness, and partnering with engineering from schematic reviews to ramp.

You will manage supplier audits, process development, and qualification activities, traveling to supplier sites to ensure scalable production and high-quality execution.

Qualifications

• Experience building SI/SQE/NPI function from scratch or majorly shaping one.
• 7+ years in supplier industrialization, supplier quality, NPI, or manufacturing engineering for hardware
• Knowledge of IPC standards and PCB fabrication; experience with flex/rigid-flex and sensors

Responsibilities

• Build the supplier industrialization function from ground up: playbook, gate requirements, supplier readiness, PPAP/qualification process.
• Own end-to-end industrialization for PCBA, electronics assemblies, and tactile sensing from supplier selection to ramp.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and firmware teams on DFM/DFX reviews and component selection.
• Identify, assess, and select suppliers; lead technical audits of capability, quality systems, and capacity.
• Travel to supplier sites to develop processes, validate lines, and verify readiness.
• Lead new product introduction at supplier sites: process development, validation, SMT line bring-up, test correlation.
• Develop and execute supply chain readiness to scale electronics from prototype to production.
• Establish supplier quality management: incoming quality criteria, SPC, 8D/RCCA, and supplier reviews.
• Collaborate with sourcing on supplier strategy, should-cost, and risk mitigation.
• Define hiring needs and build SI team infrastructure for scale.
