Job summary

Mind Robotics is building generalized physical AI for real-world industrial deployment. We are seeking a Systems Engineer to own the requirements and architecture baseline for the robot, decomposing high-level behaviors into measurable specs and safety requirements from concept through field deployment.

You will define how the robot should behave, prove it, and ensure traceability across software, mechanical, electrical, and integration teams, leading DFMEA, HARA, FTA and system-level

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems engineering on complex electromechanical, robotic, or autonomous products.
• Proven ability to decompose high-level system behaviors into measurable requirements.
• Experience with hazard and risk analysis (DFMEA, HARA, FTA).
• Knowledge of functional safety standards (IEC 61508, ISO 13849, ISO 26262).
• Strong written and verbal communication across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own the system requirements baseline and decompose into budgets and interfaces.
• Define software requirements from high-level system requirements.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for new robot subsystems.
• Own interface definitions and manage changes across subsystems.
• Lead DFMEA/HARA/FTA efforts and derive safety requirements.
• Drive verification and validation strategies from bench tests to field deployment.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and integration teams to ensure coverage.
• Support on-robot diagnostics, telemetry, and health monitoring.
