Cyngn, Inc. in Mountain View, CA, is building production-grade autonomous vehicles and seeking an experienced Staff/Senior Software Engineer for the CLAM team.

You will deliver improvements to calibration, localization, and HD map creation, collaborating across vehicle infrastructure, hardware, QA, and other autonomy groups to ensure safe, efficient driving. The role emphasizes implementing state-of-the-art 3D mapping/localization techniques, rigorous testing, and delivery of production-ready

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in robotics or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of industry experience in autonomous vehicles or robotics software.
• 6+ years of production C++ software experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, tune, and test mapping, localization, and sensor calibration algorithms for autonomous platforms using C++ and Python.
• Develop tooling and metrics for performance validation and testing frameworks.
• Balance tasks, code reviews, and research to meet product milestones in a fast-paced startup environment.
