Job summary

Field AI is seeking a Robotics AI Engineer to advance calibration, localization, and mapping for autonomous robots. You will join the CLAM team to develop production-quality code across sensing modalities, focusing on environment-agnostic localization and robust SLAM solutions.

Qualifications

Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, probability, optimization, 3D geometry, and kinematics.
Experience with state estimation frameworks for sensor fusion.
Familiarity with LiDAR-inertial odometry and SLAM algorithms.
Proficiency in C++ and Python and ROS.
Ability to design, build, and deploy robust software in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Design and implement calibration, localization, and mapping algorithms for autonomous quadrupeds and humanoids.
Develop tools and metrics to validate and benchmark subsystem performance.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable C++ and Python code.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy algorithms in real-world systems.
