Job summary

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive technical strategy and architecture for robotic software modules. You will own end-to-end delivery from design through production deployment and work with research, ML, hardware, and operations teams to build integrated solutions.

We focus on building capable, safe robots and developer-friendly SDKs, with a strong emphasis on responsible architecture, scalability, and velocity.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software development (non-internship).
5+ years of programming with at least one language.
5+ years leading design or architecture of systems.
Experience as a mentor, tech lead or team lead.
Bachelor's degree in robotics, mechanical/mechatronics, systems engineering, or related field.
Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, statistics, and system design.
Experience delivering production-grade software.

Responsibilities

Drive architecture and design decisions for robotic software systems.
Own end-to-end delivery from design to production deployment.
Lead collaboration across research, ML, hardware, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Define technical roadmaps and drive innovation in robotic software development, including production-level SDKs for developers.
Design and implement systems and tools that accelerate development velocity for multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
