Job summary

10Beauty, a Burlington, MA robotics startup, seeks a Principal Robotics Software Engineer to architect and deliver systems powering our autonomous manicure robot. This role blends hardware and software, requiring leadership across cross-functional teams, and deep expertise in C++, Linux, and real-time embedded systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience, ideally in robotics.
• Expertise in C++, system design, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Experience architecting large-scale, real-time embedded systems.
• Ability to solve ambiguous, cross-functional problems.
• Extensive experience with Linux-based embedded systems and hardware/software integration.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve long-term software architecture for the robotic consumer product.
• Lead design, development, and optimization of core software components (C++ on Raspberry Pi/Linux).
• Serve as a subject matter expert across electrical, mechanical, and computer vision.
• Drive the technical roadmap for robotic control systems and integrate new technologies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers.
