Job summary

Bonsai Robotics is seeking a Senior Program Manager to bring order to a fast-moving, resource-constrained organization. You will connect Product, Hardware, and Software teams, drive schedules, manage budgets, and surface risks to leadership.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in hardware-software programs, strong communication, and proven ability to manage cross-team dependencies in a robotics environment. This role is primarily on-site in California with some travel.

Qualifications

• PMP certification required.
• 5+ years program management in a hardware-software robotics or similar environment.
• Ability to manage schedules and dependencies across PM, mechanical/electrical, and software teams.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced startup with minimal process scaffolding.
• Strong use of PM tools (e.g., Jira, Gantt charts) and concise reporting to leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, aligning stakeholders with different priorities.
• Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as programs leader and primary link between cross functional teams: Product, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality.
• Own end-to-end program plans spanning product, hardware, and software development.
• Build and maintain integrated program charters, scopes, budgets and schedules; identify dependencies and risks.
• Run program cadences across product and engineering disciplines.
• Track budget, scope, and resourcing; present options to leadership.
• Manage risk registers and mitigation plans for technical and schedule risk.
• Coordinate with supply chain on hardware lead times and milestones.
• Serve as primary point of contact for program status to leadership.
• Help formalize program management processes as the company scales.
