Job summary

Rhoda AI is seeking a safety-focused engineer to own the end-to-end safety of perception paths for robot navigation. You will derive requirements, develop SOTIF strategies, and work with hardware and software teams to ensure deterministic, auditable safety outcomes.

Responsibilities include setting calibration safety targets, generating safety evidence, and driving safety cases that meet NRTL expectations while collaborating with embedded systems and CV teams.

Qualifications

• Experience deriving engineering safety requirements with numerical constraints.
• Proven work products in safety-related robotic or automotive systems.
• Experience with validations and audits by an NRTL.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end safety targets and performance of perception algorithms.
• Derive system safety requirements for detection performance and KPIs.
• Develop SOTIF strategies and analyze VnV data.
• Set calibration safety requirements and drift analyses.
• Define safety requirements for sensor hardware and diagnostics.
• Create safety concepts and ensure safety-compliant software implementation.
