Job summary

The Principal Robotics Machine Learning Engineer leads end-to-end manipulation learning—from data collection and synthetic/real data mix to training, transfer to the robot, and on-robot deployment—while diagnosing performance bottlenecks.

This role bridges advanced research and scalable production software. You will drive architecture, champion rigor, and mentor the next generation of robotics leaders

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience focused on robotic manipulation or complex motion control.
• Proven track record deploying complex algorithms on physical hardware.

Responsibilities

• Implement and deploy state-of-the-art ML models/algorithms to achieve world-class performance on robotic manipulation tasks.
• Drive the data engine for manipulation learning: data collection, curation, annotation, and synthetic/real data mix.
• Oversee end-to-end development from prototyping in simulation to robust on-robot deployment and fine-tuning.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and prioritize fixes across vision, calibration, and data/model quality.
• Foster technical rigor, architectural excellence, and mentorship across teams.
