Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to design, integrate and launch robotic end-effectors for next‑generation automation. You will author requirements, verification plans, and procedures, and build prototypes for rapid iteration and manufacturing handoff.

The role demands hands-on debugging and deep mechanical insight into hydrostatic transmissions, 4-bar linkages, and related subsystems. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in robotics mechanism design, a Master’s in a relevant field,

Qualifications

10+ years of experience designing and integrating mechanisms into robotics systems.
Experience with transmission design for robot end-effectors/grippers.
Master's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams to deliver production-ready designs.

Responsibilities

Author functional requirements, design verification plans and test procedures.
Execute product designs that meet requirements and timelines.
Build and test mechanical subsystem prototypes and integrated systems.
Support product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments.
Work efficiently to support rapid schedules and evolving programs.
Collaborate with Electrical and Controls engineers to ensure system integration.
