Job summary

Boston Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a Field Application Engineer to drive front-line integrations of robotic systems with customer sites in the United States.

You will own system configurations, run field tests, develop SOWs, and coordinate across product, engineering, and sales teams to ensure successful deployments. You will travel up to 50% to customer sites, design scalable integration solutions, and provide advanced technical support and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proven track record in senior-level Field Applications Engineering or System Design roles with customer-facing project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee customer account management, handling technical aspects and ensuring project execution from start to finish.
• Lead system integrations, validations, and field tests; manage system configurations and readiness.
• Create and maintain detailed SOWs and customer solution and integration documents.
• Manage external-facing project documentation, including network architecture and equipment configuration.
• Serve as primary escalation point for complex field support issues; perform root cause analysis and work with engineering for fixes.
• Develop and deliver advanced training for customers and partners on BD’s API/SDK and complex integrations.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, System Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related field
