FieldAI in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Robotics Field Application Engineer to lead deployment of robotic systems including drones, quadrupeds, and humanoid robots, working closely with customers. This onsite role is based in Irvine with up to 30% travel across the U.S.

and occasional international travel. As senior technical lead, you will drive field operations, provide expert troubleshooting, and translate customer needs into actionable feedback for product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (see required list).
• 5+ years in robotics, autonomous systems, or field engineering.
• Proven experience leading complex deployments in industrial settings.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment, commissioning, and readiness at customer sites.
• Serve as primary technical contact during deployments, pilots, and operations.
• Lead field testing, validation, and performance evaluations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and robotics issues.
• Develop deployment playbooks and technical documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and mentor field teams.
