Job summary

Agility Robotics in Fremont, CA seeks a Staff Robotics Architect - Electrical Hardware to lead the electrical architecture of our humanoid platforms. You will partner with systems, mechanical, software, perception, safety, and control teams to define and evolve scalable, high-performance hardware for our robots.

This senior role requires 8+ years in robotics hardware, 3+ years leading electrical product development, expertise in actuator design, power, PCBA, firmware, and safety concepts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in robotics hardware development, with 3+ years leading electrical product development.
• 5+ years experience with electrical system design including actuator dev, power, PCBA, components, and layout.
• 3+ years experience with Firmware Development from bare-metal to network integration.
• Deep understanding of robotic system design, actuation, sensing, compute, and safety.
• Experience delivering complex electromechanical robotic systems to deployment.
• Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, robot kinematics, dynamics, controls, and modeling.
• Familiarity with functional safety concepts, FuSa certifications, FMEA/FMECA, hazard analysis.
• Excellent communication across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end robotics electrical system architecture.
• Provide technical direction across teams and architects.
• Lead trade studies and architecture reviews balancing performance, safety, cost, and reliability.
• Collaborate with software controls and simulation for modeling and performance analysis.
• Ensure architecture translates into testable, traceable requirements.
