Job summary
Intellectt Inc. seeks an experienced Robotics & Controls Engineer to design and implement advanced robotic automation systems from concept through production.
The role combines mechanical design, robot programming, PLC/HMI development, safety integration, and vision-based inspection to optimize performance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mechanical engineering, robotics, PLC/controls, electrical systems, machine vision, and automation, with hands-on experience in 6-axis robots
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant engineering experience in robotics, automation, controls, or manufacturing.
- FE exam completed (Fundamentals of Engineering).
- Experience with SolidWorks 2020 and AutoCAD.
- Strong GD&T / ASME Y14.5 knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Design automation cells and EOAT using SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
- Develop robot programming, PLC/HMI development, safety integration.
- Integrate robots, PLCs, sensors, actuators, and safety devices.
- Develop and troubleshoot machine vision systems for inspection.
- Optimize robot motion, cycle times, throughput, and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with ANSI/RIA, ISO, and machine safety standards.
- Lead qualification activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
