Job summary

Tutor Intelligence, Inc. in Watertown, MA is seeking a hands-on Robotics Test & Bring-Up Engineer to take an autonomous palletizing robot from line to verified, shipped state.

You will own bring-up, testing, documentation, and problem closure, collaborating with Production Engineers (Test & QA). The role emphasizes independent troubleshooting, safe power-up, software loading, subsystem bring-up, and rigorous acceptance testing.

Qualifications

• Proven independent troubleshooting of complete robots or complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience owning bring-up and resolving failures beyond assembly or routine tests.
• Fluency reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
• Comfort with the Linux command line, IP networking, software installs, and log analysis.

Responsibilities

• Inspect robots on arrival, verify wiring, and perform safe power-up.
• Load and verify software, firmware, and configurations.
• Subsystem bring-up: power, CAN, arm, base, sensors, and safety systems.
• Run functional and final acceptance tests with logs.
• Triage across electrical, mechanical, software, and networking.
• Document failures and repairs in ION and issue trackers.
• Prepare robots for shipment with final checks and charging status.
• Coach technicians and build troubleshooting guides.
• Escalate issues with clear evidence when needed.
