Job summary

ASR seeks an experienced Engineering Technician VI to support a DoD robotics and autonomous systems program at Blue Grass Army Depot, KY. The senior technician will independently plan and execute complex projects, serve as a technical authority, and lead lower-level staff.

Responsibilities include system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and environmental and operational analysis for electronic and complex systems. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
• Advanced specialized technical certifications or senior military technical training highly preferred.
• 10–12+ years of progressive engineering experience or similar technical background.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan, organize, and complete engineering support projects involving robotic and autonomous systems.
• Serve as a senior technical expert in system integration, testing, troubleshooting, or environmental factors affecting complex systems.
• Apply advanced problem-solving to resolve design or operational issues when standard methods fall short.
• Select and apply advanced engineering plans and approaches to meet project objectives.
• Review and integrate work to ensure technical adequacy and alignment with objectives.
• Mentor and supervise lower-level technicians and technical support staff.
