Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years programming ABB robots, including 2+ years RAPID programming and RobotStudio simulations.
• 2+ years PLC development and ladder logic with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Studio 5000.
• Solid foundation configuring industrial motion control, vision systems, safety networks.
• Bachelor's in Electrical Eng, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field; hands-on experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% worldwide; must have valid U.S. passport.
• Residency within 45-minute drive of Waukesha County / Greater Milwaukee.

Responsibilities

• Write, simulate, and optimize RAPID code and RobotStudio for ABB integration with PLCs and automation systems.
• Lead full-lifecycle builds from design and kinematics to floor build and debugging.
• Configure hardware, fieldbus protocols, and EOAT interfaces for ABB packages.
• Troubleshoot pathing, cycle-time, mechanical, and control issues on build floor and in field.
• Lead client onsite deployments; travel up to 30% for installations and SAT.
• Create system logic docs, operation manuals, and electrical schematics.
