Job summary

Walden Robotics seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own how our robot is manufactured and scaled—from prototype through volume production. You will define the manufacturing and DFx strategy across actuators, electromechanical assemblies, and full-robot integration, and develop the processes, tooling, and supplier partnerships that turn our designs into reliable, high-volume hardware.

This is a hands-on role partnering with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams to bake manufacturability

Qualifications

• 8+ years in manufacturing or process engineering for electromechanical hardware.
• Experience earlier-stage to high-volume production.
• Proven ability to lead NPI and production ramp programs.
• Strong understanding of quality systems: FAI/PPAP, SPC, FMEA, CAPA.
• Ability to read GD&T, tolerances, BOMs and drawings.
• Collaborative, cross-functional influencing and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturability strategy from design to production.
• Own production roadmap across actuators and subassemblies.
• Scale processes, tooling, fixturing, and testing for volume manufacturing.
• Drive manufacturability, cost, yield, and serviceability with design teams.
• Lead NPI process design, line bring-up, and production ramp.
• Qualify and manage contract manufacturers and suppliers with clear standards.
