Job summary

Anyware Robotics in Fremont, CA is seeking a Sr. Robot Learning Engineer to advance planning and manipulation within AnywareOS. You will work to bring research ideas into production systems on real robots across multiple industries.

The role requires strong ML, robotics, and hands-on execution in a dynamic startup environment, collaborating with perception and controls teams to deliver production-ready models to customer sites.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in ML, robotics, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience shipping learned robotic behaviors.
• Strong applied ML fundamentals in policy learning, neural networks, and training infrastructure.
• Experience with robot learning for manipulation or motion including sim-to-real transfer.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks; C++ deployment experience.
• Understanding of classical planning (rule-based or optimization-based).
• Proven ability to take research ideas to production systems.

Responsibilities

• Improve learned policies for robot manipulation and augment production system performance.
• Contribute to manipulation capabilities: data collection, simulation, policy training, deployment validation.
• Use production multimodal data from real industrial operations across logistics and manufacturing.
• Collaborate with perception and controls engineers to close the loop between scene understanding and navigation.
• Ship models to production; work will run on robots at customer sites.
