Job summary

Prince Contracting, LLC in Naples, FL is seeking an experienced Lead Surveyor to oversee field crews and coordinate survey data for heavy roadway projects. You will prepare GPS files for automated equipment, gather site data for as-built drawings, and perform precise layout and as-builts for walls, drainage, bridges and ITS components.

The role requires supervising surveying activities across field and office, monthly equipment checks, and active participation in safety trainings.

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of relevant surveying construction experience with heavy roadway projects.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and translate them into survey data for layout in CAD and other tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to lift 25 to 50 lbs and work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

Lead crews of surveyors and prepare data at the site.
Prepare GPS files for automated equipment.
Recollect site data for as-built in coordination with Survey Manager.
Perform layout and as-builts for road construction items (walls, drainages, bridges, earthworks, ITS, FSS, TCPs).
Maintain control and execution of all surveying activities in field and office.
Coordinate equipment verification and maintenance.
Attend safety meetings and trainings.
Daily maintenance and preparation of surveying equipment and provided vehicle.
Perform other duties as assigned.
