Job summary

Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction seeks a highly experienced Superintendent with extensive roadway earthwork and large project experience to lead field operations. The role requires coordinating crews, reading plans, and ensuring safety and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of roadway superintendent or foreperson experience leading heavy equipment crews.
• Minimum of 10 years of roadway/highway construction experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of roadway earthwork projects.
• Minimum of 10 years of DOT roadway projects.
• Education – four or more years related experience and/or training; bachelor degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, interpret, and enforce safety policies and practices.
• Read and understand plans, specifications and local building codes.
• Schedules and documents all required inspections, quality testing, or other compliance requirements.
• Completes daily reports such as units complete, safety reports, EEO meetings and weekly unit cost worksheets.
• Confers with and directs personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
• Maintain a general knowledge of equipment used on the job including basic understanding of equipment limits and designed purposes.
• Track delivery, use and completion of rentals on the job.
