Job description

Overview

As a Roadway Project Manager with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you’ll be responsible for:

  • Performing engineering design, analysis, task management, and project management duties on all types of transportation projects for a broad range of commercial, industrial, and government clients.
  • Geometric studies, report writing, preliminary and final engineering, plan production, drainage design, construction staging, design and quantity calculations, cost estimates, and other related efforts.
  • Managing highway and local roadway engineering projects to provide quality delivery of project submittals;
  • Managing project contracts and financials, be involved with business development and marketing efforts including identifying potentialopportunities and supporting proposal and interview efforts;
  • Mentoring junior-level staff
  • Monitoring workload needs throughout the entire project development.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering required;
  • 8+ years of relevant experience required;
  • 4+ years of task lead and/or project management experience preferred;
  • P.E. license required;
  • DOT experience required;
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of roadway design software such as Bentley Microstation, Bentley OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred;
  • Diverse experience in roadway geometric design, pavement design, construction document preparation, and right-of-way Plan preparation;
  • Experience in proposal preparation and engineering fee estimating;
  • Experience in grading and drainage, hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, erosion and sediment pollution control, and utilities preferred.
