The role requires TDOT and municipal project experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of post-education experience in civil engineering design.
• Engineer in Training Certification.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer; familiarity with TDOT Guidelines.
• Experience with TDOT and municipal design projects (highway, roadway geometry, drainage).
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, design/build, and permitting.
• Ability to coordinate with regulators and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Responsabilités

• Develop 3D design models, calculations, sketches, plans, and estimates for transportation projects.
• Analyze data from surveys, GIS, subsurface utilities, maps, and geotechnical data for project development.
• Advance technologies, modeling techniques, and design requirements for safe end-user functionality.
• Provide technical assistance on engineering, design, and construction issues.
• Maintain quality control standards aligned with company policy.
• Prepare technical reports and concise documentation using calculations and software.
• Assist with writing design training manuals and workflow documentation.
• Assist with risk identification and design concepts, remediation activities.
• Inspect proposed and existing site conditions to ensure compliance with rules and permits.
• Prepare technical proposals, scoping, and labor estimates.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams and interface with clients and regulators.
• Support business development initiatives and project meetings.
• Adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and policies.
