Job summary

ICE is seeking a Roadway Engineer in Myrtle Beach, SC to design, analyze, and manage roadway projects, ensuring SCDOT compliance and safety standards. The candidate should have 7+ years' experience with SCDOT design practices and will lead design tasks using MicroStation/OpenRoads.

This onsite role requires coordinating with clients, contractors, and authorities, delivering projects on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality documentation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• PE license in SC is required; SE licensure is a plus.
• 7–10 years of roadway engineering experience with SCDOT exposure.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs for interstate widening and interchanges on state and county highways.
• Coordinate with team, contractors, and agencies to meet standards.
• Perform design calculations, quality checks, and documentation.
• Ensure project delivery on schedule and within budget.
• Stay current with SCDOT policies and design criteria.
• Prepare reports, drawings, and specifications for roadway projects.
• Lead field inspections and coordinate with stakeholders.
