Job summary

Kisinger Campo & Associates, Corp. (KCA) is seeking a Roadway Team Lead to guide roadway design from concept through final plans across SC offices in Columbia, North Myrtle Beach, and North Charleston.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead detailed design tasks, and ensure design quality in line with SCDOT and AASHTO standards. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in client meetings, support planning and budgeting, and proactively seek new project opportunities with

Qualifications

• Senior-level: 8–12 years of experience.
• Experience working with SCDOT is required.
• SC PE License or ability to obtain it within 6 months is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn from and collaborate with teammates.
• OpenRoads Designer (ORD) or 3D Modeling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead on transportation projects from concept to final plans.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Independently perform and oversee complex roadway design tasks (alignments, plan sets, geometric analyses).
• Evaluate design criteria and develop practical solutions meeting project objectives.
• Lead decisions using SCDOT Design Manuals and AASHTO Green Book guidance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in client meetings.
