Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• P.E. license required; NC PE preferred and to be obtained within first year.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway design tasks from preliminary to final design.
• Develop specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages.
• Coordinate with client staff, project managers, and DOT offices (NCDOT, local governments, private clients).
• Provide design services for design-bid-build and design-build projects.
• Mentor junior engineers in final design plans and related tasks.
• Lead design activities coordination with staff, subcontractors, and clients.
• Assist in parts of project decisions on approach, cost, and schedule.
