Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) seeks a Roadway Design Engineer in Phoenix. Under the Roadway Design Team Leader, you’ll design, review and supervise roadway projects, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure ADA compliance and design guidelines. A BS in Civil Engineering and 2–5 years of highway design experience are required; Arizona P.E.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Arizona P.E. license required within 6 months.
• 2–5 years of demonstrated highway/roadway design experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develops or oversees roadway designs, construction plans and details per guidelines.
• Coordinate with project team, utilities, ROW, and environmental planning.
• Review and approve design documents, shop drawings and change orders.
• Lead and mentor design staff and interns.
