DGL Consulting Engineers, LLC is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to enhance the Roadway Department. The role requires delivering roadway transportation projects using prescribed methods and standard practices in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently while following standard processes to design and deliver roadway projects. 8–15 years of civil design experience and PE/EI considerations are important, with full-time, non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of civil design engineering experience
• ABET-accredited degree required
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain PE within 6 months

Responsabilités

• Act as Project Manager and/or lead design engineer on projects
• Deliver multiple tasks for various leads while meeting deadlines and budgets
• Design tasks include pavement, horizontal/vertical design, drainage, and BMP design
• Prepare construction plans, design detailing, cost estimates, drainage calculations, and reports
• Assist with oversight of entry level engineers and budgeting
• Participate in client meetings, prepare responses to RFIs, assist in proposals
• Coordinate with roadway department head for progress, schedule, and budget
• Track deliverables, client reviews, input, and comment resolution
• Keep supervisor informed of key issues
• Communicate project scope with engineers on requirements
• Apply design standards, CAD requirements for DOT/local agencies
• Engage in industry events and related marketing activities
