Job summary

Vitol Biomethane in Mt Vernon, Alabama seeks a Senior RNG Technician to operate and maintain RNG facilities, oversee GCCS, and maximize methane recovery. You will lead daily operations, troubleshoot complex systems, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong experience in landfill gas processing, instrumentation, and SCADA, with willingness to work 24/7 on a rotating schedule and coordinate with engineering teams on improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma. Technical or vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years in landfill gas processing, RNG, or biogas operations.
• Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and process troubleshooting.
• Experience with instrumentation, controls, and SCADA systems.
• Experience leading or mentoring junior technicians preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily RNG processing and GCCS facility operations and optimization.
• Mentor technicians and provide safety-focused leadership.
• Diagnose faults, calibrate instrumentation, and troubleshoot control systems.
• Coordinate maintenance outages and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering during commissioning and performance testing.
