Job summary

Vitol Biomethane seeks an experienced Senior RNG Technician to operate and maintain landfill gas facilities, GCCS, RNG plant, and pipelines in Mt Vernon, Alabama. You will lead troubleshooting, optimization, and provide mentorship for technicians while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

The role requires hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems, with focus on minimizing outages and maximizing methane recovery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 3+ years in landfill gas processing, RNG/biogas, chemical plant, or power facility operations.
• Experience with advanced instrumentation, process controls, and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily RNG facility operations, GCCS infrastructure, and pipeline systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• Troubleshoot control systems and calibrate sensors; manage outages and parts planning.
• Coordinate access and modifications for landfill development and site safety.
