Ideal candidates have 2+ years in RNA-focused labs, experience with nucleic acid biochemistry, and must be on-site with US work authorization.

Qualifications

• MS in Biochemistry or closely related field with 2+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of nucleic acids biochemistry/chemical biology.
• Experience with RNA and cell line work.
• On-site role at Moderna; no remote work; US work authorization required.
• Strong initiative and ability to drive projects forward.

Responsibilities

• Develop methods to study stability and translation of modified mRNA in cell lines and in vitro biochemistry.
• Apply RT-qPCR, chromatography, and MS to analyze RNAs.
• Develop and execute Next Generation Sequencing library preparation protocols.
• Maintain cell lines, equipment, scientific records, and an organized lab space.
• Communicate scientific findings to colleagues and collaborators in formal and informal settings.
