Citadel is seeking a Nursing Director to assist the Director and Associate Director in planning, organizing, and directing daily Nursing Department activities, ensuring high-quality clinical care in a regulated facility.

Responsibilities include supervising care planning, admission assessments, rounds, direct patient care as needed, ensuring accurate Orders, and coordinating shift changes. Strong nursing experience and licensure required; CSR/BLS and IV cert preferred. On-site work in NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current registration and license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state employed in.
• Peripheral IV certification.
• Minimum 5+ years nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home or other healthcare setting and a minimum 1-year experience as a nurse supervisor.
• CPR/BLS certified.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care centers.
• English language reading, writing, speaking required.

Responsabilités

• Supervises the clinical care planning and delivery processes to ensure the coordination of quality patient care.
• Assesses residents upon admission and periodically as conditions change.
• Performs rounds to evaluate patient condition.
• Provides or assists with direct patient care when indicated, including ADLs, meals, medications, and treatments.
• Obtains and implements Physician Orders, checking for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicates between shifts regarding changes in resident conditions.
• Ensures a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Plans and evaluates staff competencies and ongoing education.
• Participates in facility surveys and discharge planning.
• Ensures adequate nursing staff per shift to maintain quality care.
• Makes daily rounds to monitor nursing staff performance.
• Reviews complaints and reports to Nursing Services.
• Maintains supplies inventory and QAPI involvement.
