Job summary

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California (RN) and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Graduate of an accredited RN program meeting BRN hours requirements; or 2000 hours RN experience in a clinical specialty within three years of graduation.
• May be cross-trained to other Maternal Child Health/Family Centered Care areas; cross-training may require additional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing patient assessment/data collection across physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive domains.
• Develop and implement a goal-directed plan of care.
• Provide safe, competent nursing care and coordinate with the health care team.
• Establish priorities based on patient needs and available resources.
• Educate patients and families, ensuring understanding and involvement in care decisions.
• Document care activities and maintain patient confidentiality and risk management standards.
