Job summary

Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Registered Nurse III to provide direct nursing care in line with organizational policies and patient age-appropriate care. You will coordinate with an interdisciplinary team and educate patients for safe discharge.

Responsibilities include rounds, developing care plans, assessing needs, managing pain, and ensuring timely referrals and documentation, with emphasis on patient-centered care and education.

Qualifications

• 12 years or more RN experience with ASN/ADN Degree
• 6 years or more RN experience with BSN
• Masters/Doctorate of Nursing
• Eligible to serve as Charge Nurse and Administrator on Duty
• Temporary RN license accepted prior to start; must hold an unencumbered nursing license

Responsibilities

• Performs daily rounds on all patients coordinating care and ensuring quality service.
• Develops and updates a care plan based on comprehensive assessment.
• Assesses patient condition, sets goals, prescribes nursing actions, including discharge planning.
• Monitors pain and responds per SOP; communicates changes to the care team.
• Initiates emergency measures when needed and documents observations.
