Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an experienced RN II to provide professional nursing care, conduct comprehensive assessments, and coordinate treatment for a diverse patient population. You will collaborate with physicians and the health care team to ensure compassionate, efficient, high-quality outcomes and may assume charge nurse or preceptor duties.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, communication, and time management, with a commitment to patient advocacy and safety.

Qualifications

• Twelve months RN experience in a healthcare environment.
• Must graduate from an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
• RN Texas state licensure required within 60 days if establishing Texas residency; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, and NVCRISIS certifications required or to be obtained within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and conduct nursing assessments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional health care team to coordinate care.
• Perform duties as charge nurse or preceptor and participate in unit/shared governance initiatives.
• Maintain accurate medical records and educate patients and families.
